Skin changes – Malphite covered in algae and made out of coral.. Specific in-game changes:

• Model: New model for Malphite and new textures for Granite Shield..
• New particles: New particles for his abilities..
• New sounds: New splash sound for Ground Slam..

Skin bio & introduction: – “When I was young, I used to watch our ships sail back to port, but of late can’t bring myself to look. For every vessel that docks, another runs aground of coral that was not there before. It’s as though even the seabed has turned against us, slowly moving toward some unfathomable end.”

How to get this skin? – The skin is not available for purchase and has been placed in the Legacy Vault (they can still be mystery gifted, and only appear in a champion’s information tab if owned). The vault is usually opened for limited runs and this skin can then be purchased in the Riot Store. In my experience it can be rather long between each opening of the Legacy Vault, hang tight!

Worth buying? – Coral Reef Malphite is a Legacy vault skin — rarely available and not in the regular store. It includes custom particles, new sounds. You can preview any skin for free on the PBE server before buying. Learn how to access the PBE here.
